Christ the King is a member in good standing of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, Northern Illinois District.

Christ the King was founded as a mission congregation by the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod in 1949 by pastor Robert Schulze. This church has been served by a number of dedicated pastors over the years and is now led by Rev. John W. Brazeal. Rev. Brazeal and his wife Geri founded Christ the King school in 1973. The school serves children from three years old through the sixth grade. We have extended hours that include both before and after school programs. The regular school day is 9am to 3 pm. The extended program hours are from 7:00 am to 6 pm.

Our Sunday worship services begin at 11:00 am. Our Sunday morning bible study begins at 10:00 am
